Peter Chai
At 16, he received his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blue belt from Grandmaster Ricardo Murgel, currently the only living red belt in Georgia. Mentored early on by Muhammad Bilal and Roan “Jucao” Carneiro as a blue belt, he later received his purple, brown, and black belts from Douglas Lima, former Bellator welterweight world champion and UFC veteran Dhiego Lima. He also met Amir Dadovic, picked his brain, and later reconnected with him at GTA.
Peter is also experienced in Muay Thai, having learned from Ajarn Chai Sirisute and Khunpon Dechkampu, as well as Judo, wrestling, and boxing. He also fought amateur MMA with a record of 1-1, having stopped due to injuries.
His teaching style blends the constraints-led approach (CLA), traditional drilling, and collaborative learning, taught largely through metaphors and analogies.
Off the mats, Peter runs White Lotus Bodyworks as a licensed massage therapist with 15+ years of experience and is a Functional Patterns Human Foundations practitioner. A self-described huge nerd, he's into anime, comics, comedy, horror, and trying new things. He's also an animal lover with a pup named Kino and a bird named Koa.
